Tucked away in a lush garden with tall tropical trees, Lily Mirissa is a quiet escape just 500 metres — a seven-minute walk — from Mirissa's golden beach. Close enough to the ocean, yet far from the noise of the main road and the beach parties.
Our small hotel opened in December 2025 with fifteen bright, spacious rooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the interiors with natural light, and every room opens onto a private terrace overlooking the greenery.

Fifteen bright, spacious rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, natural materials and every room opening onto a private terrace overlooking the greenery. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning and a ceiling fan — cool air-conditioning by night, or simply the gentle breeze from the fan.
Designed for convenience and easy access, the ground-floor rooms open directly into the garden. Each has a private terrace where you can sit with a book among the tropical greenery — a favourite with families travelling with children.
Located above the garden, these rooms offer a quieter atmosphere and more privacy. With elevated views into the treetops and fewer passers-by, they are the calmest choice for a properly restful stay.
Rooms are furnished with natural materials — warm and authentic, with a light footprint. Large refillable dispensers with toiletries replace single-use plastic bottles; tap water is drinkable and filtered refills are available in the pavilion.
Start your day
Each morning begins with a freshly prepared breakfast served in our open-air garden pavilion. Surrounded by greenery and birdsong, it is the perfect way to ease into a day in paradise. Afterwards, take the short seven-minute stroll to Mirissa's long golden beach.

Location
Lily Mirissa sits in a tropical garden off Harbour Road — close enough to the ocean for morning swims, tucked away from the main road so the nights stay quiet.
Mirissa is one of Sri Lanka's best-known places for whale watching — blue whales, sperm whales and dolphins in season, with the hotel able to help arrange trips.
Weligama's long sandy bay is only about 4 km away — one of Sri Lanka's best destinations for beginner surfers, with surf schools along the beach.
Mirissa's most iconic viewpoint at sunrise or sunset — with Parrot Rock, Secret Beach and Turtle Beach all close by for swimming and snorkelling.
Yala, Udawalawe and Bundala national parks are reachable as day trips — leopards, elephants and birdlife. Ask at reception and we'll help you pick a park and a driver.

It's a brand-new hotel, so everything feels sparkling new and fresh — the rooms, bathrooms and finishes are spotless and beautifully done. The design has a modern European luxury feel. The location is perfect — very close to the beach and the main street, but tucked away enough to be quiet at night. … Geeth, the manager, is incredibly attentive and genuinely cares about his guests. We actually extended our stay because we liked the hotel so much — after three weeks of travelling around Sri Lanka, this was definitely our best accommodation.
Our stay at Lily Mirissa has been amazing. We felt very welcome by Geeth and his staff. The rooms were spacious and clean. It's a very quiet space close to the bustling city of Mirissa. The breakfast was good and I had some nice conversations with Geeth. Will definitely come back if we visit Sri Lanka again one day!
